The most common failing in modern horse facilities is inadequate ventilation. In order to provide horses with a comfortable, healthy environment, suitable ventilation is paramount. Hydor Ltd are proud to announce the launch of their new equine ventilation brochure to aid owners and riders to overcome this common failing and improve the welfare of their animals.
In warm weather, correct ventilation is imperative in order to remove uncomfortable, heat from the stables and to discourage flies, during cooler months the emphasis changes and an adequate ventilation system is imperative in controlling the build-up of moisture, odours and ammonia that accumulate when doors are kept closed. Unchecked, this build-up leads to an increased risk of condensation and pathogen viability which contributes to respiratory infection.
In larger areas such as riding schools and show jumping arenas Hydor’s evaporative cooling system, in conjunction with installed fans, effectively suppresses dust and controls humidity levels improving comfort levels for both horse and audience.
Ventilation for equine facilities combines two necessary processes: ‘air exchange’ where stale, moisture laden air is replaced by fresh air and ‘air distribution’ whereby this fresh air is distributed equally throughout the entire building providing comfortable conditions for all animals and persons regardless of location. This can be achieved by several system designs and layouts including ducted, mechanical and internal, which Hydor can supply and adapt to suit various buildings, new or old.
The new 20 page full colour brochure from Hydor features indepth information on Hydor’s versatile, reliable and specifically designed product range including air-circulation units, high-velocity units for larger buildings, pedestal, ceiling and wall mounted fans, portable floor units, roof extract fans, evaporative cooling systems and control panels to meet all your equine ventilation requirements.
